Traditional Albs

Traditional and front wrap albs are the long, white linen robes with tapered sleeves that are worn by clergy at Mass. the liturgical vestments are used in a variety of religions and they are considered the twelfth oldest type of liturgical vestment known to man. Today, the alb is one of the most common garments worn by clergy. The garments are worn over the cassock and under any special pieces such as a stole or chasuble. If the alb does not cover the collar, an amice may be worn as well. Matthew F. Sheehan carries a variety of traditional and front wrap alb styles to choose from.
