The carved lindenwood Infant of Prague statue is made in full round and is richly polychromed and gilded. The statue is available in four sizes and is made by Demetz Art Studio using the latest equipment and techniques. The Infant of Prague is better known as the Child Jesus. The image originated in a monastery in Bohemia, where the statue was commissioned as a wedding gift and passed on to the Carmelites. The Carmelites fled, but later returned to find the statue broken. After it was repaired, several miracles were reported.
The 24" is available in colored Fiberglass.
